I legitimately just said "what in the actual world" to myself because I totally wrote the WRONG ONE. Good grief. Editing now. (Bless it.)
I can't stand cantaloupe! It's the worst of the melon options (to me) and tastes like nothing. Just, nothing lol. No clue how my brain put together 'least favorite option' with 'this is my favorite!' but here we are. Thank goodness for Friday arriving in 3.. 2.. 1..
Okay, I’m glad we agree! My theory is this: my mom said she ate cantaloupe the most when she was pregnant with me because it was one of the few foods that didn’t make her feel sick...but I think that because of that, I developed such an aversion to any melons at all. 😬
I found the song "The Story I'll Tell" February 2021 while sitting beside my wife's bed in a dark hospital room. She had been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer the previous month. My, "our" story didn't not turn out as I prayed and hoped for. I lost her that June. God never promised we wouldn't go through storms, some so severe we wonder how we will survive but in the midst of it we learn that Jesus is walking with us, comforting and guiding.
Bruce, I'm so very sorry for your loss and that the story includes this particular storm. I'm praying that God will continue to bring comfort and unexpected small joys in the middle of the waves.
I love buying a new magnet when I visit a new city.
My eye prescription hasn’t changed in five years (still need glasses though lol).
Blue Gatorade (specifically the Glacier Freeze) is my favorite post run treat. It gets hot and sticky where I live and I need it, plus it reminds me of playing in softball leagues in my teen years!
I like that too! People say “never ever buy souvenirs ever!”, and I am super frugal, but I absolutely love having one affordable $5 magnet to remember the first time I went to Nashville and Seattle and NYC and everywhere else.
You know? For 40 years I bought a magnet every time I went somewhere. My refrigerator was a virtual travelog. A few years ago we had to get a new fridge. I was disappointed beyond words when I discovered the door is stainless steel and not magnetized. I'm still not totally over it. 😂
I have a large calendar stuck to the back of my front door (Jane - there's hope...fridges aren't the only things that can be magnetic ;) It's my brain, how I don't miss appts, etc. I've never gotten into using the calendar on my phone. (And Kaitlyn, totally with you on the smell of bacon!)
My boring fact: I love fonts. I get very passionate about both good and bad fonts. Georgia is my favorite email font. Comic Sans makes me want to barf.
I bought the dress you recommended a couple weeks ago. I just ordered the lamp. A couple years ago I bought maybe a dozen of those USB lighters. Thank you for recommending items that you have bought and loved
A couple of my boring facts:
The smell of bacon makes me nauseous.
I strongly believe honeydew is the best of the melon options.
All of my fingers are double-jointed -- except my thumbs.
Ugh! Bacon smell!!
A couple boring facts about me:
I can't fall asleep unless the TV is on.
I am unusually clumsy.
I have a fake tree in my living room that I decorate for spring, patriot holidays, Thanksgiving, and Christmas..
Yay for Christmas trees year-round!
You can eat all the cantaloupes for me! I am just not a melon person. But I am definitely a berries person!

Thankfully, you can still eat all the honeydews!
Yes to all the honeydew! :)

The magnets! That's a fun idea for a small souvenir. It makes me think of Kendra Adachi's "decide once" idea.

I do the magnet thing too!

Ugh no I never knew such a thing was possible!
I had no idea until it arrived. 😭

Thank you so much. We can trust in Gods goodness and grace.

Me too! Do you ever say "Oh that's such and such (font name)" when you walk around a store like Hobby Lobby and see the wall art? Just me? Ha
🙋🏻♀️Only all the time!

Ha! Happy to be of service! (Aren't the lighters magic? So so good. And they make great gifts!)
