Frozen grapes, ice cold watermelon chunks, and a water bottle that would keep your water cold even on the surface of the sun (I like Takeya thermal ones myself). And an ice face roller! These are all top items in my summer survival kit. 🫠

Tonight I bought a rotisserie chicken. I try to go with cold foods, especially for snacks, when I’m working outside a lot. Making chicken salad, grass-fed beef sticks, cheese as a snack, peanut butter & apples, almonds that I keep in the fridge, Greek yogurt parfaits. I also use my grill A LOT to grill meats and veggies and keep the heat outside.

Panzanella is great for leftover day: dried bread, tomatoes, grilled or cooked veggies, dressing or just olive oil and vinegar- good to clear out the fridge.

I cook as little as possible all year, but especially summer is an "I don't cook season".

This is my favorite go-to .

A bed of salad greens of your choice

Cantaloupe chunks

Strawberries

Pineapple chunks

Mandarin oranges

Dried cherries

Pecans

Grilled chicken (from the frozen food) or the breast meat from a rotisserie chicken (purchased already cooked from the deli)

Apple cider salad dressing

I have been known to eat that for 3 or 4 days in a row.
