I wish I liked audiobooks more. I really want to be someone who can listen to podcasts and audiobooks, but I find that my mind wanders too easily and I have to keep rewinding. I did listen to the first Wingfeather book on Audible, but it took me forever. 😅
I’m really excited to read Whose Waves These Are, that you recommended. I placed an order for the book through my library, but if I really love it I’ll probably end up buying a copy. I’m a re-reader, I love the journey of a book more than the ending. Which I discovered a few years ago isn’t a trait that everyone shares! 🤯 I don’t understand the once and done mentality when it comes to books. If it was a good one, I want that journey over and over and over again! ❤️
I'm with ya, some books definitely don't work for me in an audio format. The topic, the genre, and the narrator have made a big difference! You'll have to let me know what you think of Whose Waves These Are... I read it as an ebook when it released in 2019, and then I bought the paperback because I loved it so much. Like you said, I knew I'd want to go on the journey again. :)
Aleshia! I just used a random number generator and your comment was the one it selected. Comment below or send me an email with your Venmo and I'll send it your way.
I love Audible. My library doesn't subscribe to the service that lets you borrow audiobooks and sometimes that's the best way for me to "read". I found out about the free books when I was going to cancel my subscription. I decided it was too good a deal to cancel. I often take more than 3 weeks to listen to a book so Audible is better for my listening.
I love Thursday Things and All The Things. I got our June book on Audible, actually.
I got your gift in the mail this week and the timing was perfect. I needed the truth you wrote and I really just needed something u expected among the mundane. Thank you so much for being so intentional ❤️
Hmmm...did I know this?! I cancelled my subscription but I’m seriously getting back into reading. Finished Growing Slow yesterday. Like I’m literally slow over here!! Some obligations have fallen off and I finally have some time to breathe again. Enter reading! Reading a book from a launch team I was on and got way too busy to read. Ugh. But I’m so into it. You may convince me. Maybe!
Funny enough...I started reading Double The Lies by Patricia Raybon. It isn't something I would normally pick up but I'm really enjoying it.:) I need a break from serious/obligations so I am reaching for fiction for right now.
Just watched episode 1 of Ed Sheeran doc and so glad I did. My eldest is due her first baby in a week and our first grandchild and my husband was diagnosed with an aggressive lymphoma early this year and we’re half way through treatments. I needed this!
So many! I'm listening to 'Don't Overthink It' right now, am about to download 'The Bible Recap' (I read a page every day or two, but it'll be great to have on audio while traveling), and will likely start 'An Unhurried Life' or 'Dark Clouds, Deep Mercy' next. I recently finished 'In His Image' and would recommend that one. It also ended up being helpful (though admittedly a bummer) with a book I thought I'd love and then quit 2 hours in. It's rare that I don't see a book through, but it definitely wasn't what it seemed it would be from the description. Saved a little bit of $ and bookshelf space. ;) If you use the trial, you can search by category or go straight to the Audible Plus section for credit-free titles.
My favorite thing to drink right now is half lemonade and half ginger ale. So refreshing! I call it my nightcap. 😊
That sounds audaciously good.
Kaitlyn. I thought Audible worked the way you thought it worked too. 😳
We might be the last two to figure it out. Game changer, right?

Aww, I will definitely give Audible another try! Maybe I just need to find the right type of book to listen to! My Venmo handle is @aleshiaoosterhart

YAY! Can't wait to hear what you think of Whose Waves These Are!
Congrats on #90!
Thank you!
My mentor gave me the sparkling lemonade in a gift basket once. It was SO good!! 😋
I also ordered our summer fiction read from B and N. I’m excited!!
Right?! And yay for the book! Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on it.

Oh yay! So glad it arrived at just the right time!!!
My favorite drink is Stash's Breakfast in Paris. It's an Earl Grey, and I absolutely adore it! I definitely want to try it iced!
I'll have to look for that in the store!

Ha! That's a good one to go through slowly! ;) Have you picked a book or two that you'll reach for next?

Oh my, I'm pausing to pray for you and your family now. If you don't mind sharing, Alison, what is your husband's name?
Try the Trader Joe's Organic LOW CAL Lemonade - it is sweetened with Stevia and tastes just like regular Lemonade -- really good and low in carbs!
Good to know!
