Celebrating Easter is a family time. Amazingly almost all of us can get together for at least a little bit. I still hide a basket for my daughter, who is now 27, and now for her boyfriend. We always have my mom’s coffee cake and do egg wars with hard-boiled eggs. It’s a wonderful time to celebrate all that Jesus did for us.
Celebrating Easter for me is all about the music. The songs I look forward to singing each year are Easter Song by 2nd Chapter of Acts, I Know That My Redeemer Lives, and Christ The Lord Is Risen Today, to name a few. Our sons won’t be able to be with us this year and I’m struggling to find joy in this hard season, yet I know that He knows and is with me. The Word keeps me going, infusing me with defiant hope. Thank you for your encouraging post. ❤️
A friend shared one of your posts yesterday and I loved it. It was the first time I'd heard of you and immediately followed you on FB and signed up to receive your Thursday Things emails. I love what I've read already. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you for telling us about your words in Target. I ordered and now have that magazine. I loved Sweet to the Soul magazine but they quit publishing. I may have found my new favorite magazine in Everyday Faith I love All The Things - thank you for that too.
For Easter dinner (we will eat on Good Friday cause hubby has to work Easter at hospital) is a baked ham, mac & cheese & broccoli with cheese & may be green beans.
One of my favorite things to do is volunteer with Loaves & Fishes food bank. Each week they give out food boxes & meals 4 nights a week. Last Friday they gave out around 200+ meals. It feels good to help those less fortunate. Next Saturday 04/15 we are having a yard sale & clothing giveaway. We need to make money to keep running the operation. We also have an opportunity to get free food from a grocery store. Just go there & ask shoppers to buy food for you.
Can't imagine the thrill of seeing your work on the page for all to see/purchase! =0)
An Easter tradition for our family is using our Resurrection Egg set to share the Easter story as a group. It's fun for all ages and keeps the details in everyone's mind year to year. That... and my Ritz Cracker dessert that nobody can get enough of! Yum! =0)
So many changes in my little country church in the last few years. Our beloved pastor passed away and the new pastor is, well; new. I am yearning for peace in my heart this Easter. That peace that only God can give.
HI Kaitlyn, I was at Target today and SAW IT!! So amazing!! For Easter this year, my youngest is out of state, so he cannot join us, and the rest of us will simply enjoy a meal together and be pretty low key. I am making something totally "non-Easter" like for the meal, as a few members are gluten and dairy free, so it will be unique this year. I hope everyone has a beautiful Easter! He Is Risen!!
I've been in a flare for the last 2ish weeks and haven't been tolerating solid food - THRILLED to be eating real food (not broth) for Easter tomorrow.
Looking forward to spending time with family.
Hoping that you were feeling much better by Easter!

Thank you for the newsletter.
I’m looking forward to celebrating Easter with dear friends. It’s been a few years since we’ve been together for Easter

Yay!!
Wow! Absolutely in love with those shorts! Exactly what I’m looking for...now I’m just wishing I had a Sam’s Club membership 😅😂
Right?!
I also found some great shorts at Sam’s!
My adult children still ask for “empty tomb” biscuits on Easter morning. 🥰

I loved your sentence, “Jesus didn’t run.” Wow!
I went to our Maundy Thursday service this evening. It is always a timely message of what our Savior did for us.
My favorite Easter dessert that I like to make gor my family is Fresh Coconut Cake-3 layers
