I've been loving watching the miracles being portrayed in The Chosen ... and also the arc of this summer's new release from Katherine Center called "Hello Stranger" ... I finished it on Monday and could start it again right now and be just as delighted by it!
I completely agree. It’s the one with things that I keep returning to in prayer and discussion. Although I did watch the entire series in the past month.
I love the Ash Wednesday graphic!! So my history with Kaitlyn is through a few different book launches and I have truly enjoyed the friendship that has developed! My current read is Seasons of Sorrow by Tim Challies. It is heartbreaking yet healing. Encouraging and full of compassion. I am really enjoying it!!
I just read a great fiction book--The Perfect Stranger by Megan Miranda. I’ve started reading so much fiction now that I have a library card, and it’s been fun discovering what I enjoy!
It’s no longer Thursday, but I have to share anyway. This morning I learned about “fika”, which is a Swedish tradition of slowing down and enjoying time with friends or coworkers over coffee and treats. And I just love this. I feel like the best times are had over coffee and pastries. ❤️ I wish I could do this every day.
Fun to see multiple comments here about The Chosen! I've landed on season 3 as my favorite so far... would be interested to know what you think after watching.
I’m doing a Zoom book club with two friends in faraway places. We’re reading Tyler Staton’s Praying Like Monks, Living Like Fools. We are loving reading the stories of prayer he includes as well as sharing our thoughts and experiences together!
My favorite song right now is based off of Psalm 139. It’s called Faithful, by Erik Neider. I’m listening to it on repeat, reminded of my God who is faithful even when I’m not.
I’m loving that I got a shoutout in your Thursday Things!! 😊 I also love that I got to go to book club tonight, and at one point in the conversation, the words “That’s not comic sans. If it were, I would know it even sitting all the way over here” came out of my mouth. I reached peak levels of nerddom bringing up a FONT at a book club!
Ha!! We would be quite the pair in Hobby Lobby. My friends roll their eyes (understandably) when I name the fonts, from memory, on their wall decor signs.
What a great job! I have been following and reading Holley's writings (and sharing many with my Bible study) for years. I am on my third year of listening to BiY and this year am also listening to the Catechism in a Year podcast. Many blessings to you.
I love your posts and am so amazed at the depth of wisdom you share (you’re an example of how trials refine our faith and put our focus on Jesus)…and you’re still a young woman!
I've been living in the in between of college and what's next, so the Hannah Brencher post really spoke to me.
This Lent I'm doing the 40 days of decrease devo, which is simple but nice. I'm also trying not to buy books, as that seems to be one of the things I compulsively love to do. And I'm currently trying to read War and Peace, which is probably the longest book I've ever tried to read. Wish me luck!
In between is such a good phrase in som many cases; thank you. I feel in between having recently retired and waiting to discern what God wants from me next. I also feel in between on who I am as a mother as my daughter gets into her next quarter century. My mom is in between this world and the next, as she ages and isn’t sure of her purpose. I am trying to keep my focus on listening to and for God by listening to inspirational music and podcasts (like more than small talk and Bible in a year with Fr. Mike) and reading a couple of different things for Lent to help me prepare for Easter.
So much of our lives are spent in Saturday, aren't they? We're always in between something and another... thank you for sharing some of your in betweens! I love that you're listening to MTST (Did you know I'm Holley's assistant? She is truly one of the best of the best.) and the Bible in a Year (I listened last year!).
I’m reading an ARC of Strong Like Water and I don’t have words yet. It’s the exact right book at the exact right time for me and I can’t wait until others have read it too.
And I’m watching the second season of All Creatures Great and Small. Cozy, British, and comforting.

This season 3 of The Chosen has brought me to tears and praise every episode!!
I've put serious thought into it (really though) and have decided this is my favorite season of The Chosen so far. It's just fantastic.

Oh that book sounds so intriguing... Adding that to my list now. Thank you for the recommendation!
Clarissa Moll recommended it as one of her top two books on grief!!
I want to read this one too. I really appreciate his perspective on a lot of things.
Love the butt dust typo! 😂

Library cards are one of the actual best things. They save my book budget month after month. Ha!
I’m really enjoying listening to Beth Moore’s Memoir All My Knotted-Up Life.
Good to know! I'm on the wait list for it at my library.

Well. I love that.
I have been watching The Chosen with my husband, mom and brother. We are all really enjoying the seasons. We are currently watching season 2.

I LOVE the Loop for women devotionals by Gather Ministries on YouVersion!! I love everything Gather Ministries offers!! (Wire, Flag, etc.)
I'll have to look into these. Thanks for the suggestion!
This lent season I’m reading Made to Crave devotional by Lysa Terkeurst. She is one of my favorite authors!
I haven't read that one from her!

Thank you for the kind words! I'm grateful God gives words when I feel like I have none at all. :)

I haven't heard of that devo! I'm guessing you just started it, for Lent, but what do you think so far?
I'm enjoying it! It's simple and doable!

Ah! I'm managing the SLW Launch Team! :)
