words and whirlwinds (and a surprise for you)
Change after a decade of days + a three-word phrase that's leading the way.
I’m writing this more in the style of “sitting down with a good friend who said okay, tell me for real, how are you with all the things going on but mostly The Thing because WOW that wasn’t planned and shifts a whole lot of life” than “here’s a story with a beginning, middle and end.” It’s more “train of thought” than “thought-out article or devotional with a clear main point and/or take-away.” Did I cry writing this? Yeah. Did I finish writing it at 4:41am because that’s life right now? Also yeah. But there’s a three-word phrase that has been present for a decade of days . . . and today I have another one for you, for me, for us . . . words for a new season, for the too-much and the not-yet, for hellos and goodbyes and always.
A May design in the middle of a whirlwind—
A turn of phrase I’m carrying into this change—
A real reflection as I try to hold the tension, even when it’s uncomfortable to live/say/write/maybe read—
